Great News Again! The CERES-1 Sea-Launched Version (4TH Mission) Carrier Rocket Successfully Launches Four Tianqi Constellation Satellites

2024/12/20

At 18:18, Beijing time, on December 19, 2024, under the organization and command of the sea launch team of the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center, Galactic Energy Aerospace Company successfully completed the launch mission of the Guoshenxing-1 Sea-Launched Version (4TH Mission) (mission code: LOONG) in waters near Shandong Province, and successfully delivered a total of four satellites, namely the 04 group satellites (Satellites 33 to 36) of the "Tianqi Constellation," to a near-Earth orbit with an altitude of 850 kilometers and an inclination of 45 degrees.

The "Tianqi Constellation" is China's first low-Earth-orbit Internet of Things (IoT) communication constellation. Its first phase consists of 38 satellites, with 33 already launched. It features global coverage, miniaturization, low power consumption, and low cost, providing global users with "air-space-ground-sea" consumer-grade satellite IoT data services. It has been widely applied in industries such as forestry, agriculture, emergency response, tourism, water conservancy, electricity, petroleum, marine, ecological environment, smart cities, and digital economy scenarios, and is moving towards the direct satellite connectivity market for consumer electronics products.

This mission was the fourth sea launch mission completed by Galactic Energy Aerospace Company and the fifth time the Guoshenxing-1 series carrier rockets have launched networking satellites for the "Tianqi Constellation". This marks that as the only private rocket model that can accommodate both land and sea launch platforms, the Guoshenxing-1 series carrier rockets have achieved flexible regional and orbital adaptability and high-density launch capabilities, enabling them to quickly meet the launch needs of different satellite users to the greatest extent.

To date, Galactic Energy Aerospace Company has successfully carried out 15 commercial launch deliveries, accurately delivering a total of 58 commercial satellites with different functions to their intended orbits.

This launch mission also carried the official mascot of the CSA Space Art Museum, "Long Tengteng," jointly launched by Wanhu Chuangshi Cultural Media and ArtDepot Art Warehouse. It is worth mentioning that "Long Tengteng" is also the first mascot of "Beijing Gifts" to be exhibited in space. This artistic image, created by artist Zhang Zhanzhan, has become a messenger connecting human civilization and the universe with its unique artistic image and profound humanistic feelings.

Galactic Energy Aerospace is the first private rocket company in China to achieve continuous and stable successful launches. It is a national high-tech enterprise, a national-level specialized and new small giant enterprise, and a Hurun Global Unicorn List company. The company mainly provides efficient and reliable space launch services to domestic and foreign aerospace customers. Its core products include two series and four models of rocket products: the "Pallas" series of medium and large reusable liquid carrier rockets (No. 1 and No. 2) and the CERES series of small and medium-sized low-cost solid carrier rockets (No. 1 and No. 2), covering a full range of launch requirements.

In terms of space launch business, the "Pallas 1" liquid carrier rocket is about to complete its engine reliability qualification test, and its first flight is entering the final stretch. The company has achieved multiple industry milestones, including being the first private company to enter the 500-kilometer sun-synchronous orbit, 800-kilometer inclined orbit, and dawn-dusk orbit; the first to successfully implement a sea launch; the first to achieve rocket mass production and high-density launches; and the first to realize in-orbit services based on the rocket's final stage.
