At 13:00 Beijing time on June 6, 2024, Galactic Energy successfully launched the 13th mission of Ceres 1 launch vehicle (mission code: Love On Top) from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center, successfully delivering three satellites, TEE-01B (Eye of the Earth 1), Naxing 3 A and B, and the Eros Retained Orbit Test Platform, into the instantaneous orbital altitude of 545km SSO. This was the third successful launch of the Ceres-1 launch vehicle in ten days!
The TEE-01B satellite (Eye of the Earth 1 satellite) operates at an orbital altitude of 545km, and can obtain remote sensing images with a resolution of 0.52m and a width of better than 14.8km at the ground pixel of the point under the star. It is used to provide remote sensing data services for China's land resources monitoring, mineral resources development, smart city construction, forestry resources census, ecological environment monitoring, public emergency health and other fields.
NanoStar III A and B are two remote sensing technology verification satellites jointly developed by Tsinghua University and Beijing Skychain Measurement and Control Technology Co.
The Eros Star in-orbit test platform is the first domestic commercial rocket upper stage in-orbit test platform, independently developed by Galactic Energy. The test platform is based on the upper stage of the Ceres 1 launch vehicle, and realizes the in-orbit operation capability through upgrading, and provides a low-cost and convenient validation platform for in-orbit testing of new technologies, new devices and new products, and the service modes include the following:
Mode 1: In-orbit verification of new devices and products. New or self-developed components, new materials and new products can be verified in orbit to provide verification support for the in-orbit application of new devices or new products and reduce the risk of direct application of new materials or new products in space model products.
Mode 2: In-orbit verification of various new spaceflight technologies, such as in-orbit manufacturing, in-orbit maintenance, space manipulation, life extension of the vehicle, etc., so as to realize in-orbit verification and in-orbit iteration of new technologies.
Mode 3: space biology experiment. Research can be conducted on the biological effect of space gravity, crystal growth of space biomolecules, space cell and tissue engineering, space protection drugs and instruments, and synthetic materials for weightless environment.
This time, the Eros Obit-Retention test platform carries a millinewton-class electric propulsion load ,which will be verified in orbit.
